Fur Island, North Jylland 2.jpg

Fur Island is located in the Limfjord, Jylland

According to the National Museum's Esther Grølsted, the Fur costume had the following elements:

a. Very dark colors: mainly in green and dark blue.

b. Bodice: had a thick "bead" at the bottom that made the ladies hips look wide when tucked under a skirt.

c. Bodice closure: a lace closure in front covered by a stiff breastplate and decorated with silk ribbons.

d. Bodice shoulder strap ties: Like on Salling, the shoulder straps of the bodice were tied with bowties.

e. Nattrøje: Green

f. Headgear: dark, tied with a scarf, and with white wings by the ears.
