Helgoland Island

Helgoland
Helgoland was controlled by Denmark from 1231-1807 during the era in which folk costumes were worn. As such, its costume can be considered Danish.
Helgoland was later controlled by the U.K. (1807-1890) and Germany (1890-Present).

There is a similarity between the red skirt of Helgoland and that of Rømø and Fanø.
