Mors Overview

There is scant information about the Mors costumes, either for men or women. It seems that there are at least three signature elements

a. headgear: Mors has a unique lace cap that is folded around the ears in a distinct way, somewhat similar to Salling.

b. nattrøje: all the women wear one, usually red

c. vest/bodice pattern: There seems to be a unique pattern used occasionally for the Mors bodice consisting of vertical red and green stripes (see woman 2nd from right in the image below) and a related unique pattern used in the men's vest. It is reminiscent of the Vendsyssel women's bodice pattern.
